24/07/2018

"Competence and digital citizenship for social transformation" was the title of the University Conference on Educational Technology held on June 27, 28 and 29 in Donostia-San Sebastián (Spain).

Our project partners, University of Salamanca, had the opportunity to attend and showcase some of the research outcomes and lessons learnt of the eConfidence pilot tests. Considering the results of the eConfidence project in relation to the competences of adolescents for the safe use of the Internet, based on the pilot test carried out in schools, a communication was presented by Ana García-Valcárcel from University of Salamanca.

The University Conference on Educational Technology is a conference where more than 200 university professors from many Spanish universities meet to share the results of their research projects on educational technology issues. Topics related to digital competences and the training of educators and teachers have been discussed as well as the changes brought about by the digital society. The importance of the methodology and the teaching context has been emphasized in order to make sense of the use of technological devices.

All communications presented at the conference are available on the web (full text) here and on the website of the Conference.
